Habs’ Mencap Funday is a day where children with special educational needs, ages 4-18, are invited to Haberdashers’ Boys’ School to take part in a range of exciting activities, planned by a student committee from Habs girls and boys schools. It will be taking place on Sunday 25th June 2023 10am-4pm.
Your child will be looked after by Habs student volunteers, who always have a great time with our guests. These volunteers will have had basic training and there will also be one or two social care workers onsite to help students as well as staff if need be.
We expect the activities and facilities available to include: bouncy castle, petting zoo, magician, computing room, tea cup ride, ice cream van, candy floss stand, face painter, inflatable ‘jungle run’ obstacle course, ‘selfie pod’ photo booth, arts and crafts and sensory rooms. To view the flyer, click here.
Your child will need to have a packed lunch (no nut products), however they will have access to some free refreshments! (No money needed).
If your child requires help eating, going to the toilet, administering medication, or anything similar, our volunteers are not trained for this and a carer will need to be with your child on the day.
If your child would like to attend, please complete this form in as much detail as possible, to inform us of your child’s needs so that we can plan and accommodate accordingly.
All data submitted on this form will be deleted after the event has taken place, and the data will not be shared with any third parties outside of Habs.
If you have any further questions please contact mencap@habsboys.org.uk
We look forward to seeing you there!
