Engagement

Engagement

Our Engagement Work has two main aims:

To raise awareness about people with a learning disability and/or autism, and to give them a voice in projects and plans which may affect them, as part of our Bright Futures service.

With this in mind we are planning outreach presentations to services in the London Borough of Barnet including fire stations, job centres, local government departments, Public Health England, and Churches Together.

We also have a very active group called ‘Have Your Say’ who meet monthly to give feedback to the local authority and external organisations about proposed projects and or plans that might affect people with a learning disability or autism.

The group also fills out national and local campaign questionnaires and feedback forms.

We encourage our service users to be fully involved in all aspects of engagement so If you would like to get involved in our ‘Raising Awareness’ presentations or in our ‘Have Your Say’ group then contact Project Support on projectsupport@barnetmencap.org.uk or 020 8349 3842
