Working For You is a FREE service for 18+ with learning disabilities and autistic adults in Barnet. We have a team of experienced information and advice workers who can help you with your issue.

We Provide Support For:
Benefits
Benefit application such as PIP, ESA and Universal Credit issue. We support from application to tribunal, if required
Blue Badge and Freedom Pass
Blue Badge and Freedom Pass application provided the person meets the criteria.
Letters
Support to understand letters and correspondence and form a response.
Care Needs Assessment
Care needs assessment referrals and attend a Care Needs Assesment where required.
Housing
We cannot help you find housing but we can support you with letter writing and medical self assessment.
Finding the Right Support
Helping you get the right care and support, activities and information.
Signposting
Signposting to other services where more appropriate help can be received.
General Information
If you experience any problems and are unsure if this is the right service, we will help you get the right outcomes.
Neighbourhood Partnership project – Hope Corner
The PCN3 neighbourhood one stop clinic is a new initiative, where our patients with Learning Disabilities are invited for their annual health check at Hope Corner, which is a local community center. Attendees have the opportunity to interact with professionals such as Nursing Associates, representatives from Barnet Mencap and Barnet Carers, as well as a CLCH dietitian.

Q1 What is the waiting time for referrals?
A) For the Working For You service, the typical waiting time to acknowledge your referral is 1 to 2 weeks, depending on current demand and staff availability.
Q2 How can I access the service?
A) Please fill out the referral form on the Working For You webpage. For additional queries, email to projectsupport@barnetmencap.org.uk.
Q3 Who is eligible for the service?
A) Anyone aged 18 or over with a learning disability or suspected autism or autism living in the London Borough of Barnet is eligible.
Q4 Do you provide referrals to other organisations?
A) Absolutely—we connect you with a range of local resources, such as Age UK Barnet, Alzheimer’s Society, Barnet Carers Centre, Inclusion Barnet, and CommUNITY Barnet.
