Fit2gether Project
The Fit2gether project gives you lots of chances to try new sports and physical activities.
It is very important for us to do some physical activity each week as this keeps us fitter and healthier. Sport keeps our heart healthy and our bones strong. It can also make us feel less stressed and can improve our mood. If we combine it with eating healthily it can also help us to lose weight.
The Fit2gether Project has weekly sports sessions in lots of different sports. At the moment these include a Drop In Gym which runs on Tuesday's and Friday's and a weekly Swimming session.
All activities are fun and you can do them at your own pace! We are also able to give you help and advice if you want to join in an activity of your choice, in your area.
Sometimes we also have one-off activities. These can be things like Ice Skating, Table Tennis tournaments and Swimming galas.
Our current activities include:
- Dance Workshops - On the first Saturday of every month
- Football Sessions - Once a month on a Saturday at Wingate and Finchley FC
- Swimming Sessions - Every Friday at the Finchley Lido
- Gym Sessions - Drop in any time between 1:00pm and 6:00pm on Tuesday or Friday
We will also soon be doing:
- Badminton - Starting on Saturday 17th April, running for 10 weeks
- Water Aerobics - Starting on Sunday 18th April
- Yoga (to be confirmed)
